Project Details

Designed for business travellers of Aegean Airlines, this business lounge in the Athens Airport addresses the challenge of providing a haven for guests during the stress of travel. Away from the bustle of the wider airport, there is a focus on calm and serenity.

A minimal colour palette throughout makes room for the visitors, who imbue the space with vibrancy as they move throughout the interior. Greeted by a water feature at the entrance to the lounge, visitors are guided by terrazzo flooring which sweeps across the open plan environment.

Separate areas for relaxation, eating and working are designated by vertical elements that discreetly mould the room into private and more focused spaces. Similarly, the entrance to the lounge is holistically distinguished from the rest of the airport by natural features such as water, succulents and small palm trees.
