YATZER
Featured on Yatzer
Our own house in Psychiko is now on Yatzer, photographed by Alina Lefa and Yiorgos Kordakis, written by Eric David.
Designed from the top down: garden on the roof, living spaces just below to catch the view, private rooms on the first floor, studio in the basement. The house turns a small plot into an argument for building vertically rather than wide. Concrete pillars, vertical aluminium fins in a pale earthy tone, bottle-green window reveals. Inside: exposed concrete against microcement, blush limewash, a terracotta fireplace, a blackened microcement stair that does the work of a sculpture.
Furnishing the house with Anna became its own project: a Grand Confort in coral pink, a 1964 Nielsen Laminex chair, Bonetto’s yellow B-Line table, and an Eames Lounge in forest-green. Several paintings on the walls are Lukas’ grandfather’s.
The roof does the most work: pool, outdoor kitchen, pergola in cane and timber, a 270-degree view of the city and Ymittos beyond. It is where the house is most itself.
