City Bar Athens, Greece

Located in the heart of Athens, City Bar is the “little brother” of the adjacent restaurant City Bistro we designed a few months earlier. Defined by its rich material palette of brass, wood, metal, and custom interlocking wall tiles, the bar opens directly onto a pedestrian street, creating a visual and spatial connection with the city outside.

During the day, it serves breakfast, coffee, and cold cuts in a relaxed atmosphere, while in the evening it transforms into an intimate wine bar. Alcoholic beverages are concealed during daytime hours behind custom-made rotating shelves — revealed at the push of a button — a playful nod to the era of alcohol prohibition.
