Bobotis+Bobotis Architects officially enters the Romanian market, introducing a contemporary design approach combined with forward-thinking sustainable innovation.

Bucharest, November 2025: Athens-based architecture firm Bobotis+Bobotis Architects announces its official entry into the Romanian market, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s international growth strategy. With a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, cultural, and infrastructure projects, the practice is recognized for its ability to blend timeless aesthetics with modern functionality, advanced technology, and strong sustainability principles.

Following a series of successful collaborations with leading Romanian developers — including One United Properties, for whom our office delivered the concept design for landmark projects such as One Floreasca City, One Lake Club, One Lake District, and One Peninsula; Globalworth, with the design of the Conference Hall at the Globalworth Campus; Alesonor, on Villa 9 of Amber Forest; and HBC Development, on the Fzeen project by Floreasca Lake — Bobotis+Bobotis Architects is now establishing a dedicated presence in Romania. This expansion aims to further support local developers and investors through comprehensive design, architecture, and consultancy services.

“Romania is an inspiring market — dynamic, ambitious, and with a deep respect for architecture that enhances both urban life and human experience,” said Lukas Bobotis, Co-Founder of Bobotis+Bobotis Architects. “We are excited to strengthen our local presence, continue our partnerships, and contribute to shaping a new generation of sustainable and contemporary design spaces.”

Founded in Greece by Theofanis Bobotis, with Lukas Bobotis representing the second generation of the practice, the firm has built a reputation for creating sophisticated, modern, and sustainable architecture that respects each location’s identity while embracing innovation. Their work seamlessly combines functionality with cutting-edge sustainability principles, resulting in buildings and spaces defined by distinct architectural identities.

“Our philosophy is that architecture must evolve alongside society — responding to changing needs, technologies, and environmental challenges,” added Lukas Bobotis, Founding Partner. “Romania’s openness to contemporary design and commitment to sustainability make it an ideal place for us to grow.”

Bobotis+Bobotis Architects will collaborate closely with Romanian developers, real estate investors, and public institutions, focusing on premium office and residential developments, mixed use projects, cultural projects and large-scale urban regeneration. The new presence in Bucharest will serve as a regional hub for the firm’s operations across Central and Eastern Europe, with the aim of delivering landmark design solutions and creating added value for every development.
