Project Details

Set strikingly in the heart of a forest in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, this conceptual design emphasises luxury and decadence within a secluded natural landscape. Dynamic exteriors respond to the serene environment, while establishing privacy from the outside world.

As you arrive from the main road, high stone walls are fenced by a moat. The entrance is deliberately minimal, a balance to the host of lively activities served by the tennis court, swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and recreation area that are set at the back of the house.

Envisioned as a private residence to entertain, relax and escape,  the house is rendered over four floors, laddering up from a double basement to the ground and first floor. On the ground floor, an ornate water feature flows from the heart of the living room to an external balcony, visually combining the periphery of the house with views of the sea. All bedrooms enjoy panoramic sea views too, while high arches built into the building’s limestone facade offer shade for the balconies.

Bathed in natural light, two large frescoes adorn the walls in the main communal area, while striking strips of Nero Marquina front the entrance to the property.
